The Tungurahua volcano has been active, spewing lava and ash since April 2011. The poor indigenous families living nearby are not willing to leave their family land. ADRA is training community leaders in the techniques of safe evacuation and hazard preparation to save lives. Families need to be trained in the prevention of diseases caused by the volcanic ash. Nearly 150,000 have asked ADRA for training in health issues, hazard preparation, and evacuation safety. Just $25 will help keep a family safe and well.
