In Sao Paulo, Brazil, many parents have abandoned their children due to extreme poverty. Children from 7 to 14 years of age spend most, if not all, of their days on the streets, exposing themselves to violence and personal risk. Many of these children have nothing to eat, do not attend school, and lack an understanding of basic hygiene. ADRA has more than 20 years of experience in working with street children in Brazil. Help us expand our ministry. Children coming to the ADRA community center will receive a hot, nutritious meal each day; learn the basics of reading, writing, and math; learn to play team sports; and receive hygiene and nutrition training.
