Improved Cook stoves for the Quechua in Ecuador - #06
Many indigenous Quechua families living in the San Gerardo Sierra region still cook indoors with wood or dung. The concentration of smoke that remains indoors leads to severe respiratory problems, particularly in small children. ADRA will provide training and assistance in the construction, maintenance, and use of these improved cookstoves. This project will improve the health of small children and their families and will reduce the use of wood for cooking.
