ADRA runs one of only two “safe houses” in Bucharest, Romania. Our ADRA home provides 24/7 short-term care to women and their children who are fleeing the growing problem of domestic abuse. Our tranquil, secure home provides shelter, food, clothing, medical care, and counseling for women who have nowhere else to turn. While living in the home, children continue their education. ADRA provides assistance in locating permanent housing and employment. In addition, we provide trauma counseling, legal counseling, and job skills training for a year, even after the women have transitioned out of our home. Will you come to the aid of a desperate woman?
