Start a Goat Bank in Uganda - #39
Fishing communities live on the islands of Zinga and Bussi on Lake Victoria in Uganda. The surrounding waters cut off the inhabitants from the rest of the world. Apart from fishing, these communities have no other way of making a living and producing food. The incoming of major fishing corporations has led to a sharp decline in the fish population in Lake Victoria. Families have lost their incomes and their main food source. ADRA will train 1,000 women and youth in agriculture methods and nutrition. ADRA will also start a goat bank by giving 500 families a goat, thus increasing their protein intake.
