A Blessing from Bottles

Ackim felt pressure to support his mother and siblings, yet he could not find steady work. He spent most of his days wandering aimlessly through the community with other young adults. Then a friend told him about an ADRA project that could help him earn money.

After some training in recycling and solid waste management, Ackim was able to gather more than 75 pounds of plastic bottles.

“I now have some money to help out my mother at home,” he said. “I have never thought I could earn something from collecting solid waste.”

By supporting projects like this, you are helping families survive and providing a cleaner environment for the whole community.
